MAZEEJ Participation at HORECA Connects

On the 22nd, 23rd, and 24th of March 2022, UNIDO in partnership with the Ministry of Industry and in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture under the Italian funded project “Strengthening job creation and creativity in the agro-food sector in Lebanon through technology transfer and skills training” participated in HORECA Connects in Beirut to showcase under MAZEEJ brand all of the developed innovations under the project.

R&D a Tool for Defining the Optimal Conditions and Technologies to Decontaminate Lebanese Zaatar

Zaatar (Origanum Syriacum) is a traditional edible plant in high demand within Lebanon and the surrounding Middle Eastern countries.

In the age of global trade and high safety measures, decontamination is a critical process to ensure safe Zaatar consumption by reducing the load of microorganisms. Once optimized, the decontamination of Zaatar products will facilitate export market access and international trade for Lebanese Zaatar Producers.

The launching of a Series of Specialized Training for the Advancement of the Zaatar Sector

Under the patronage of H.E. the Prime Minister of Lebanon, represented by H.E. Dr. Imad Hoballah, Minister of Industry, The United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), in partnership with the Ministry of Industry, launched safety guidelines developed for the industrial sector entitled "Recommendations and Preventive Measures in Response to COVID-19”, at the Grand Serail on 20 May 2020.
